Serve with your favourite dip and enjoy... why have I been buying chips for years?!
You'll need...
500g sweet potato
Coconut or olive oil (spray oil is best otherwise use around a teaspoon of liquid oil)
Sweet paprika
Garlic powder (optional)
Salt & Pepper
Instructions
Finely slice sweet potato approximately 2mm thick. Too thick and it won't be crispy after baking. You can use a mandolin or sharp cutting knife... either way, watch your fingers! Place into a large bowl and very lightly coat with oil and mix to coat evenly.
Option 1
Air fryer (done in rounds depending on size of air fryer)
Arrange single layer of slices. They can touch/overlap slightly as they will shrink quickly, however not too much otherwise they won't crisp up. Sprinkle with paprika, garlic powder, salt and pepper.
Air fry at 190 degrees celsius for 9-11 minutes, shaking halfway. Around the 8/9 minute mark check regular and remove once slight dark browning begins around edges. Place either on a cooling rack or paper towel to dry and crisp up.
Option 2
Oven
Preheat oven to 150 degrees celsius.
Arrange on oven tray lined with baking paper in a single layer. Sprinkle with paprika, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Bake for 20-25 minutes, checking after 15 min and remove once slight dark browning begins around edges. Leave on tray to cool, or if you're doing another round and need the tray, place either on cooling rack or paper towel to dry and crisp up.
Enjoy
yet another great reason to get an air fryer!
